I am thinking they're more like those Sophia.org exams (open book, non-proctored). We'll find out, I haven't signed up just yet...
Are you planning to sign up?
Yes, I just signed up for both! It was quick and painless... <ouch, my fingers from clicking>

@Amberlinjeanne , if you look into the FAQ's, it has this: Yes. These courses can count as three credit hours as a general elective or minor course. The student must pass the Challenge Exam at the end of each course to receive credit.

I emailed yesterday to ask, no answer. I called today, but reached no one. I suppose it's the day before a three day weekend.
I feel like this is pretty important to know.
BS, Information Systems concentration, Charter Oak State College
MA in Educational Technology Leadership, George Washington University
18 doctoral level semester-hours in Business Administration, Baker College

I heard back. They're only valid as credit at Troy University.

LOL. If you transfer it somewhere later, I’d love to hear about it. I will probably try them out, but only as “personal development”

I did check it out when it became available this morning. It’s definitely only for credit if you are attending Troy in some capacity. Everyone else is personal development and continuing education.
I was able to finish up module one of the leadership class over breakfast. It wasn’t too bad, but over-uses some cliches like “measure twice, cut once”. Since I am a sucker for personality tests, I look forward to taking the Myers-Briggs test next week. If I knew where my test from the 90’s ended up, it would be fun to compare the results.
I didn’t look at too much on the finance course yet. I might skip to the quizzes and just see how I do first.

I'm reading from others that these courses aren't put on a transcript unless you're a TroyU student.

Quote:Jason and his wife both work and are required to pay taxes on their earnings. Jason is a "businessman" with varied interests and one of them involves money laundering. The IRS is on to him and is keeping a close eye on his reported earnings. Which of the following would be the best option for Jason and his wife with respect to filing status?
For the leadership course at least, it says you can be a duel-enrollment student and receive credit. Whether they want you to take another course at Troy before you receive credit for these courses, I don't know.
In progress:
