University of Phoenix and FCC transfers
#1
Has anyone had any luck with UOP accepting FCC (Frederick Community College) transcripts...specifically the FEMA courses? Waiting on a call back from my advisor as to whether or not they will accept them. I need 23 general ed credits to finish up a Business Management degree.

Thanks in advance.

I do not know about the University of Phoenix, but the college that I attend which utilizes the UOP format, would not. They stated that because the FEMA courses were pass/fail, they would not accept them from another college.

I hope you have better luck than I did....

Abso-freaking-lutely.

UoP is a ripoff.

Over $1500 for a 3 credit cheesy class??? I work with a guy that did his ENTIRE Bachelors there. He owes over $50,000 in student loans. For a UoP degree. I clued him in to CLEP and DSST after the fact. He turned 15 shades of white.

You could take 25 DSST tests or 27 CLEP tests for the price of 1 UoP class.

They quoted me 595.00 a unit, I hung up on the dude!

But, for some strange reason they are very popular out here in Cali?

Ah, they are now almost $1800 per 3 credit class. People like them for their easy breezy 5 week do-nothing for an A "classes" that their employer will reimburse. Intel caught on to their charade and disqualified UoP from Intel's reimbursement plan.

One of the folks I worked with received a MBA through them at a HIGH PRICE(Air Force T/A picked up the Tab) and ? is selling pre-paid legal/Pyramid(MLM)

What a way to use your MBA, I would actually go for the Pepperdine MBA that they are offering in town to the military, at cheaper rate!
