Despite all the whining there is no place in the United States where you can't get an abortion and there hasn't been for over 50 years. It's all political BS. The vast majority of people believe there should be limits on killing viable children.
That's because voters keep rejecting proposed bans.

The restrictions in some states are still restrictive enough that some women have been unable to get abortions for medical reasons. This child was not viable, and this woman was in and out of the emergency room. She had to go to another state to terminate the pregnancy.

Yes, one way to circumvent the political challenges is through a state initiative or referendum. There are enough citizen votes in red states to support abortion rights.

Now, if we could initiate a state referendum to ban state income taxes, capital gains taxes, and toll roads, I would be happy.
Perhaps a populist movement will emerge for that.

Where I'm located, I wish they would get rid of property taxes or drastically reduce them. Instead, our governor chose the tax cut plan that gave a smaller tax cut to residences in exchange for property tax cuts for business properties. There are a couple of states looking to get rid of property taxes. No one should be forced out of their homes or prevented from buying a home because of ever increasing property taxes.
