University of Management and Technology - Masters in Engineering Management
#1
I was ordering a diploma frame today on Etsy. Someone got a degree from the University of Management and Technology in Arlington, VA, a for-profit DEAC-nationally accredited university. I found a few programs they offer: a DBA program and Master's degrees in Business administration, health administration, public administration, management, computer science, criminal justice, information technology, homeland security, and engineering management.
https://www.umtweb.edu/AcademicPrograms.aspx

I found the Master of Science in Engineering Management fascinating as it is not a typical program. It requires 36 credits, and they accept up to 18 transfer credits.
https://www.umtweb.edu/Program4.aspx?key=msem

Tuition is $390 per credit which is not bad, they offer scholarships for military, veterans, military dependents, and first responders which brings tuition down to $250 per credit.

I know the school is nationally accredited, and there may be comparable regionally accredited schools, but this might work for some people. I just thought I'd post it here in case anyone was interested. I also posted a picture of the degree, which is not bad-looking.

Due to the name length, their diploma looks pretty much like the Pierpont one, as the name of institution is curved to allow extra spacing I think. Doesn't look too bad...Actually, it's not as curved for the PCTC diploma, never mind. Link: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...TC-diploma

It's worth researching the program's curriculum to see how it fits with your career goals, hearing their experiences can provide valuable insight into how the program can benefit you.

$390 per credit hour isnt really that good of a deal. I expected less for an NA school. There are online RA schools with masters in engineering management and MBAs for less.

Arkansas State University’s MS in Engineering Management is 340 x 30 = 10 200; no in-state differential for online students regardless of location. UMT’s is 390 x 36 = 14 040.

Since they're based in my hometown, I want to love UMT. But when it comes to a DBA from a school that's DEAC accredited, at this point I think anyone who costs more than Acacia University needs to justify it, and I don't see how UMT does so.
BS, Information Systems concentration, Charter Oak State College
MA in Educational Technology Leadership, George Washington University
18+ doctoral level credits in Ed Leadership and in Business Admin

These are great RA choices, I usually recommend RA over NA, the NA options should be backup alternatives or substitutes... Unless of course, it's in obscure subjects and there are rarely any affordable RA choices at the Masters or Doctoral level...

Pretty much what I look at as well, the overall ROI/Value of NA institutions compared to RA. If there are other institutions with similar price points, I would almost always recommend RA over NA. I also look at course content, cost, ease, speed to finish, etc...

The school website looks like it has not been updated since 1998. That for me is a red flag. Anyone else?
