Basically, If you get the 70% off discount from the scholarship, it'll be icing on the cake... I would go for this program over WGU or HAU.

I am sort of confused, do you have the link to this scholarship?

It's right on the program link for tuition/financing, there is an area for scholarship: https://www.coursera.org/degrees/ms-mana...-financing

Interesting, I wonder how competitive it is

Competitive, even though they're partners with Coursera, they're just like UT-Austin, they will look at all areas of an application to make sure requirements are met and exceeded. An example, TeacherBelgium from our sister board got accepted into the program and was a selected to go through this scholarship process, during one of the final stages, TeacherBelgium was rejected for the scholarship, so they didn't make it to the final selection of recipients, there must have been many applications for scholarships...

Yes I’d say the competition is fierce. Also the scholarships aren’t just merit based, so there may be some contributing factors that you don’t have any control over.

So UIUC accepted my application including my sophia credits, UMPI degree, etc. and I have my final interview next week for the iMSM/iMBA program. They had no issues with any of that. I just wanted to update everyone. I'll keep you all posted and let you know if I'm accepted or not!

Congratulations Michael!

What´s your plan for taking the courses?

In their page it seems like if there are many ways to accumulate the required credit, but maybe it´s not that flexible?

@OP - Hope it goes well with the final interview! Accumulating the GPA from UMPI should have been enough, as that was already 1/4th of the credits, and a minimum of 30 credits. Most institutions need about that 30-60 credits, depending on the program and how selective they are. Basically, as long as all their requirements are met, you're going to be looked at... Exceeding those minimum requirements are recommended.

They offer ways to "stack" but the path is pretty straightforward I believe. What I do like is that at 6 months you earn a graduate diploma, at 1yr you earn a MSc Management, and at the final 2yr mark you earn an MBA in your specific concentration. You can stop after any of those along the way if you wish. The milestones seem like they're good motivators at least. I saw on reddit how some people paired courses together to avoid too much workload. Some people tried to take 3 classes at once and said it wasn't doable or extremely taxing so I'm trying to avoid that.

I had a couple UMPI professors write letters of recommendation on my behalf as well. I think that really helped bc both of the professors hold PHDs. They said if they don't offer me full acceptance, I can qualify for their PAT program still. That's basically a conditional program where you take 3 classes in a row and need to make a B in two of them. If you do that you gain full access to the program. The 3 classes you take count towards the degree also.
