A handful of other UCN international programs with Texila have been closed. It may have something to do with the political unrest in Nicaragua. A number of schools there were not allowed to offer international programs after new governmental rules were put in place.

Ouch, I read about that on the sister thread... We'll find more afterwards, hopefully, they'll reopen once the issues settle down.

What's really messed up is I haven't gotten my UCN diploma yet. I may have to backtrack to Azteca's diploma only as a Titulo Propio or maybe have them issue me the degree as an EdD instead of a PhD since that has RVOE. It certainly doesn't look good for them over there at UCN. Luckily, I haven't really lost anything but time.

As long as you gained knowledge, that's the main thing.

Just an update for everyone. I have been on the fence of doing an Azteca/UCN dual DBA for a while. I finally decided to pull the trigger, and it looks like the Azteca/UCN partnership is over. I copied the relevant portion of the response below. I looked up the Collegium Humanum Warsaw Management University in Poland, and it looks like its not really accredited (also titulo propio), but I could be wrong about this. I guess back to the drawing board for me on this topic.
thank you for your interest in our DBA online programme.
Unfortunately, for the time being, we can not enroll any new international students with UCN due to a legal change in Nicaragua and pending new guidelines by the accreditors (CNEA, CNU) for international programs.
Therefore, we can only offer you the Universidad Azteca online DBA (and eventually dual degree with Collegium Humanum Warsaw Management University in Poland).

@jfitzg8876, What is your budget? Are you looking only for international degrees in Mexico/Spain? Have a look at this one here and see if it would work for you, it's from Brittany/Vern and also UCAM, you may want to review the entire thread: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...#pid401445

The Brittany/Vern partnership with UCAM is a good option. Even though their fees are in HK, the US equivalent is roughly $13350 so about the same as the UCAM DBA by itself which usually runs about $14000. The additional diplomas with transcripts from the partner schools are a plus which will ensure an official DBA evaluation from atleast one NACES FCE. UCAM has a lot better reputation than Azteca but oddly has as many if not more university validation partners. UCAM is also a partner with Azteca and some of the non-accredited US schools that have cross validations as well.

I was trying to keep it under $10k as I already have a US RA doctorate, so this is more of a lifelong achievement. I remember Azteca/UCN was around $6500 IIRC. Vern scares me because not only are they relatively new, their actual degree isnt a degree but a certificate, says so right on the diploma. Im gonna have to dig a little further since I am pretty sure the Azteca/UCN partnership is gone for good.

Thanks for this, its a little more than I am looking to pay but I will dig further. I looked into Unicaf as well. Lots of options, none of them great, but at my pricepoint I really cannot complain.

If GlobalNxt wouldn't work, you can look at other nations such as PI and see if AMA or the U of Philippines would work for you, I actually had some posts in the graduate form for specific countries such as India, Malaysia, Philippines, they have several offerings that are inexpensive...
