Undergraduate Degrees in Health Science at University of the People
#11
Although it may not be the best fit for most of us, to others this school is probably a godsend. It's always nice to have options.

I think having free education is warranted for some, as for many, the financial burden of college can be the deciding factor of school or no school.
If we look at NA school UoP (University of the People), more than half of their students are illegal aliens or refugees, and individuals who can't afford school.

Where are we getting this more than half figure for "ilegal aliens" (?)

I'd assume a lot of their students are outside of the US, and there are likely a sizeable amount of undocumented immigrants within the US attending schools like UoPeople since they wouldn't be eligible for financial aid and UoPeople offers a cheap solution, but "more than half" seems like a pretty big leap... Has this figure been acknowledge anywhere?

I was skimming through info on UoP the other day, I think this was the one I was looking at. Online university provides free college for illegal immigrants
Strangely, the following page makes it sound like the founder of the school is purposely creating a school for disadvantaged individuals such as illegal aliens.
It seems more like less than 50% from looking at this The Online College That's Helping Undocumented Students : NPR Ed : NPR

I wouldn't take much stock in that first link. CampusReform are extremists nuts. The NPR discussion seems more reasonable.

:iagree: I would agree most DEAC schools are about the same in regards to the students they target, it's the offerings that differ.
