Hmmm. $35K for Penn isn't bad at all.

Are you sure it's $35k? I saw it said tuition is $3344 per unit. If a Master's is 30 units, doesn't that come out to be $100k?

Hmm ...I think you're right
I misunderstood it as '$3344 per course'

Each course is one unit. University of Pennsylvania uses course units instead of credit hours for most of its programs.

UPenn uses 1 Course Unit (CU) interchangeably with (1) Course. So the cost is $3,344 per course unit AKA per course. So the total cost of the program would run in the $35K range.

For the brand name recognition, it seems alright for the price. However, the frugal self in me says, there are other options half that price or less and although not as "hot" or recognized, I would apply to them first and have this as a back up option.

My gosh! You are right! $35k for an Ivy League MSDS degree? That's a steal. And this one is from the School of Engineering. I was about to enroll in the Berkeley MIDS program. That's 85 grand. Northwestern has one for $65k. I'm wondering what the acceptance rate is going to be.
