IF you do decide to go to UMPI, still apply for FAFSA, even though you say you don't qualify, that way you can get school grants/scholarships.
Any idea on how much these scholarships/grants are? Do you have to apply, or do you automatically give them to you?
Today UMPI sent out an email to enrolled students about financial aid for the upcoming year as the FAFSA is coming due. They do have scholarships for on campus students ONLY. There are not scholarships for YourPace students. Financial aid such as Pell grants, federal supplement grants, and student loans are available however and is based on your FAFSA.
I stand corrected! you are 100% correct, I actually just called and verified that the school grants/scholorships are only for traditional students. i.e not yourpace students. Anyway, that's crazy cause I've NEVER known a school to exclude programs from school financial aid funding. If anything, this teaches me a lesson to have my facts straight before putting them on this forum.
I don't believe I have seen a CBE program ever included in the scholarships. If you are someone who's zipping along through a CBE program, then your tuition will be significantly less. WGU is the only CBE program I've seen scholarships for but their entire school is a CBE program.
