This is the answer that I was looking for!  Big Grin It's something that's good to know. But I think I won't write off statistics yet and put it at the very end of my Sophia journey if I'm not all too burned out. ss20ts has a good point about grad school. I'd like to keep that option open.

When I started at UMPI last August, I had a plan. I am changing careers was looking at moving in IT project management. I loooove project management, but learned I really am not into IT. It's just not my thing. So I started looking at other industries to find one where I can work in project management. The industry I have experience in and really do enjoy is construction. I'm now enrolled in a construction management certificate at LSU and will be moving onto a master's in construction management and a graduate certificate in project management at RIT. I now need to have 15 credits in math and science - yikes! In the Coursera certificate I'm working on right now, there's a LOT of stats in one of the courses. It was amazing to me to actually put that knowledge to use. I used to be one of those people who said I never used math. Not anymore! I'm using it daily. This was not a path I had expected to go down at all. I was really set to go into IT and pretty much even had a job lined up once I finished grad school next year. Life changes!

Nope. It's not needed for my industry. Part of me wants to complete it, but it won't gain me anything so I am not putting my time or effort into it right now. Maybe in the future.
