It really depends on your strength. My strength was business classses, so I could accelerate it. A history person who's obsessed with history can also accelerate fast, etc.Which subject interests you and that you can actually sit down and learn, and study it without it feeling a drag?

Your second option (of if you do choose, the Pierpont BOG AAS and then ladder up to the UMPI BAS/BLS with a minor in CJ).
Is TESU competency based and proctor free like UMPI? Currently looking into other degrees offered by UMPI that don't require anything outside of the online experience
Most TESU courses have a combination of reading, written assignments, classroom discussions, and exams. Some classes have a mid-term and a final exam, some just have a final exam. The majority of the exams are proctored. The courses are 12 weeks in length and are broken down into modules. Typically, each module will have a lot of reading throughout and conclude with a written assignment and a discussion. The classroom discussions usually require you to make an initial post on the subject, and then respond to at least two of your classmates' posts.

For the cheap, easy, fast option at UMPI, I would do a mix/match of the trifecta of certs, degree, experience... Pierpont BOG AAS, ladder to the UMPI BAS as I mentioned in post #7. Here's a thread I mentioned that as well yesterday, I did that a few times over the last couple of days alone: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...#pid410300
And here's another one from yesterday, you want to read this as it shows you the entire steps: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...male-in-US

I was looking at the plan that Federicojavier posted regarding his BLS Management Minor program. Feel like I would be a good fit for those types of classes after reading about them. Do you still advise to follow his outline in 2024? I am aware that a bulk of the classes has to be done through Sophia which I am currently working on now

That just seems like a lot of things to go through; was looking at the BLS Management Minor from UMPI and that seems pretty efficient with the amount of free electives it allows

Recap, you mentioned: Any certifications or military experience? NORAC - What is this?!
Review the addendum and template you have created and see what you've written for each field.
My plan above will hit all your requirements and more, the requirements for the BAS very similar to the BLS, there are very slight differences...
I like linking to my previous posts, as I am a little slow at typing, it's easier for me to copy/paste or link people to info instead of retyping at times.
You get the certs, degree, experience trifecta - 2 Associates (BOG AAS, UMPI AALS), UMPI BAS, and a few certificates that are cheap/free in < 1 year.
You should review this post and everything after post #23 (including my post #25): https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...#pid409820
For extra review, you can see this thread: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...-Interview
Heck, if you wanted an Associates, Bachelors, grad certificate (foreign equivalents) for under $1K USD, I've wrote about that a few times, including here: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-ENEB-MASTERS

Morning to everyone, I originally made a post on here a few days ago trying to clarify some things about the Criminal Justice program at UMPI. After further research on this forum along with some other resources, I have found that obtaining a BLS Management Minor from UMPI would be in my best interests due to time constraints and availability to complete assignments and tests. Found out that this degree does not require practicums/internships which is crucial for me since I cannot allocate any extra time to show up to either of those things due to my current employment. I understand that other competency based programs exist but the fact that UMPI's YourPace program for this degree exists is quite literally the only reason I can somewhat comfortably obtain a degree due to them not having proctored exams, or in person requirements (I literally have been doing Sophia courses on the trains I work on with crews moving in and out; therefore I will never be the "ideal" test taker for a proctored program based on what I have been reading. It would be too problematic and just not preferred) With that being mentioned, my two constraints of everything being Sophia and UMPI are based on the sole fact that while I am doing coursework, I will always be in a busy environment so any suggestions pointing me in the direction of WGU, Study.com, CLEP, etc will serve no good to me.
In addition, I have been working nonstop on Sophia courses since 12/22/23. I have accumulated 18 credits in this time and realized I was kind of doing these courses blindly. I would like planning advice on all the Sophia Courses I should take in order to be transfer-ready for UMPI. Aside from the obvious courses like English Composition 1-2, I read the wiki on what the equivalents are and I am still a bit confused as to what exactly I should take. I will list what I have already taken below so you have an idea.
Your Location: New Jersey
Your Age: 26
What kind of degree do you want?: BLS Management Minor
Current Regional Accredited Credits: 0
Current ACE, CLEP, or NCCRS Credits:
Sophia Credits: 18
College Algebra
Conflict Resolution
Environmental Science
Introduction to Ethics
Visual Communications
Introduction to College Mathematics
Any certifications or military experience? NORAC (Railroad specific qualification required in the North East for certain types of Railroad jobs)
Budget: I suppose whatever the cheapest route is, <$10,000
Commitments: Primarily work full time + extra hours due to being on call.
Dedicated time to study: Can usually do around 4-8 hours daily, and a couple hours at work on the weekends.
Timeline: Hopefully less than a year, less than 2 for sure.
Tuition assistance/reimbursement: I think my workplace offers some kind of assistance, would have to look into this. If not, then paying out of pocket would not be a problem.

Basically, I have a signature and the major WIKI links at there! You need to create a spreadsheet for reference and tracking purposes, here's the WIKI for UMPI, review the general education requirements, the degree of choice, and create the spreadsheet by following the requirements on UMPI's website and course recommendations on the WIKI. Your homework once you have created the spreadsheet is to link us to your one/google drive by making the file viewable and not editable. We can provide advice if anything needs to be modified and updated... Link: https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Category:UMPI

I am confused with the learning requirements; for example when you have 1A-1D, you basically have to find a course for everything in that range. However some courses say they cover multiple items for example if I have course "X" and it says it's good for 1A&1B does that mean it's good for either 1A or 1B or it is good for BOTH 1A&1B so I would just have to find courses to satisfy 1C-1D?
