6sigma - worth it? with ASQ certificate?
#11
Ok I did it. Finished the e-learning, took the live lectures and finished all the 100 multiple choice questions. And now I'm an officially certified 6sigma Yellow belt :-)

The e-learning was quite good and really challenging. Since I hated math in school I had a hard time finishing statistics, but I managed and now I know why 6sigma is called 6sigma :-)
There where 2 livesessions with a coach where we were introduced to DMAIC and SIPOC. We even did some simulation games, analyzing a pizza delivery service which was really fun and improving an injection molding manufacturer with LEAN.

And it is FREE if you are enrolled at a university or college: https://www.six-sigma-college.de/the-six...s/?lang=en
You may order an ASQ certificate for EUR 180 which I did, but which hasn't arrived yet.
Since the curriculum is ASQ-conform, you can use the yellow belt to upgrade to green belt later, if you want.

I would recommend this course if you want to have an introduction to 6sigma and Lean6sigma. I enjoyed it and did learn a lot.

OK, got my credentials today - and it feels good :-)
Not sure what i will do with it, but I had fun learning with the online videos and the live-day (6 hours)
I hope they send me the certificate in paper, since I paid extra for certification - but i guess in 2025 a pdf is OK too.

The official certification and badge is optional, as a student at any university or college you can take the course for free in english and get a certificate of participation (not ASQ certified).

I think I'll have a beer to celebrate tonite ;-)

They offer both languages. But you need to talk in the live seminary in order to get the certificate. But yeah, give it a try in german, just for a jolly good laugh  Big Grin
