Transferring to TESU

Hi everyone, I’m extremely close to my BSBA in general management. I have three classes left and the capstone. I just found out I can move up in my current job if I have an associates degree. Has anyone transferred their credits for an associates before their bachelors at TESU? Is this possible? I have all the requirements completed. I’m currently working on upper level credits now. Any help is appreciated!!!

With all your credits you probably have a Associates of Arts or associates in business from TESU already done.

Depending on what those 3 classes are, you should be able to snatch TWO associates for the price of $332 and get that promotion... think of it as a Return on Investment. You are the only one who can determine if you have 1 or both completed, very easily, by logging into your TESU OSS and clicking onto your Academic Evaluation. Change-o! Presto! Voila!

From the pull down list, select the Associates of Arts. Then on the next run, select the Associates of Science in Business Administration. If you did all your business requirements section, (not just the AOS), then you have BOTH covered! Good luck, If it was me, I would spend the $332 and graduate in June by getting them to "speed up" the evaluation/audit.

Finally, finish what you need for your BSBA, and graduate in Sept. This is a good idea as it shows progression in your education...

Doesn't graduating in June with an associates mean you have to pay the residency wavier again September?

Also, I just realized the associates in arts is probably a no go because if you switch schools or add a degree from a different school (liberal arts vs business) you have to take SOS-110. Annoying I know, but the same thing happened to me. Unless OP already took SOS-110 then they are good. I'd just go for business associates and graduate in June as long as you don't have to pay another wavier to graduate later with a Bachelors. Also, I believe the May capstone is the last one for September graduation so I think you are looking at December graduation for a bachelors. Also, it might be too late to graduate in June even if you have it 100% done, June graduation is in a week.

June graduation is in the middle of the month. Technically the May capstone is the final one for Sept graduation, but June capstone finishes in the end of August. People who only have that one final course to evaluate/grade, have graduated on time by telling academic advising/registration beforehand.

The residency waiver is good for one year, from Associates to a Bachelors. If you graduate from a Bachelors and want to do a second Bachelors, you have to pay for another waiver. Graduation fee is applicable to any degree graduation, so you'll have to pay that twice. I would say it's worth the ROI for a pay increase, you get it back in no time.

Ding ding, that's why I mentioned it all depends on which 3 courses you have left... if you have to do the SOC-110, then, I would graduate them all at the same time, promotions come and go... just get it all done!

It's too late to apply for June graduation, the deadline was April 1st. But, if you have all of the requirements met for the ASBA, then you could apply for September graduation now for that. Then, take your remaining courses and the capstone, and apply for December graduation for the BSBA. Yes, you'll pay the graduation fee twice, but the Residency Waiver will work for both.

This is the one instance in which it's totally worth doing an AA/AS. Normally, it's just not worth the money. But you're very close to your BS, and you already have the AS requirements done, and you'll get a raise -so it's a no-brainer.

What I was referring to is if OP is on the old catalog for the BSBA then tes-100 will work. However adding a new degree from a different school will require SOS-110 for the new degree. But for AS in business they should be fine with tes-100. So I'm suggesting if they are on the Tes-100 the aa won't be worth it.

Have you applied to TESU yet? What catalog year are you on?

If you have not applied to TESU yet or are on the 2019A catalog you must take SOS-110 at TESU so in your case you could go for the AA or ASBA, or even one of the ASNSM.

If you have already applied to TESU and are on the TES-100, first off complete it ASAP and your only associate option (without taking SOS-110) would be ASBA.

I have not applied to TESU yet. I have been waiting until I finish my last study.com class.
