Hey guys,
So I need 6 credits in the subject of Accounting to go for this certain job at work.
Which two do Accounting courses at SL do you think are easier: Acct I and II or Financial & Managerial?
Under the Financial Accounting course's Details, SL says there's no prerequisites but they recommend to take I and II first. So I'm assuming maybe Financial is harder than I and II.
Thoughts?
(And please don't lecture me about taking the "easier" route or whatever. This job I'm going for doesn't even USE accounting but for some reason it's one of the requirements to be eligible - so I don't care if I learn nothing because I won't use it - thanks!)

Accounting I & 2 are usually pre-reqs for the other two. I'd say they were easier. It may not be difficult for you to do the other two as well while you're in that mindframe. They flow into each other pretty easily.
Currently studying for: Still deciding.

TESC says that SL's Accounting I is equivalent to the normal Financial Accounting, and Accounting II is equivalent to the normal Managerial Accounting. The nice thing is, they use the same book, so you only have to buy it once.
I would always recommend starting with the "easier" route. Taking a lower-level course does not mean you're taking the easy way out - it means you're starting with the basics, which is smart.
I've worked in accounting, and I rarely used anything I learned in either of those courses!! But it was helpful to learn the info, so I knew what people were talking about at big corporate quarterly meetings.

I believe you should check with the job, as with schools they might not recognize the class as such.
