I've been debating whether I should finish with Aleks or just go take the CLEP for College Algebra. In January I was working on College Algebra in Aleks but it was taking me forever to get through it. I'm already pressed for time and after 18 hours, I was only at 48% and felt very discouraged. I helped my husband with his online coll alg class and had to explain things to him all the time, helped him get a B+. I felt like Aleks was taking too long so I switched it to Intermediate Algebra instead hoping to move through it faster. Now after 9 hours, I'm at 68% and feel like I should've just gone and taken the CLEP. My plan is to enroll with TESC this month and take 10 CLEPS/DSST's and I'll be done.
Is it in my best interest to go for 80-90% with Aleks? or does that not matter at all based on my plans to transfer to TESC?

You only need to get to 70%, because at 70% ACE will add it to their transcript and this is what TESC accepts. Going higher than 70% doesn't earn you anything but personal satisfaction. You are so close. You'll finish the last 2% in no time.

It took me 30 hours to complete beginning algebra on Aleks. I also felt at times I was never going to finish it but I keep plugging at it. I'm now starting intermediate in the next week and then on to college algebra. Just keep at it, your right at the finish line

I feel you on the fact that it feels like it takes forever sometimes with ALEKS. I have been on intermediate algebra now for 17 hours now at 55%. But think of it this way I college class would take at least 3 weeks. Also make sure you have 70% on the assment not just on the pie chart.
