I want to transfer credit to TESC. I have one question. What does the grades have to be to transfer. For example can i transfer something in that was a C-? Do they take D's. I am new to this whole thing. Thank you.

TESC will take D's. It will only cost $75 to apply and get an unofficial transcript which will tell you what they take. They took 35 year old D's from CC for me.

This change is meaningful in that your transcript will more accurately reflect your most recent academic experience.

“D” grades will no longer be accepted in transfer.
All grades, including “F” and “W” grades, earned in an Excelsior course or on an Excelsior College Examination will be posted on Excelsior College transcripts.

Excess credits, those that you may have earned and have been submitted as transfer credits but which do not apply toward Excelsior College degree requirements, will no longer appear on your Excelsior College status report or transcript. If your current status report contains excess credit, contact your adviser prior to January 1 to discuss how these credits will be handled on future official college documents."

Fyi...TESC only takes "D"'s if you meet a couple of requirements. One of which is your total GPA for transfer credits must be above 2.0.

The Gpa I transferred with 1 D was 3.47, but the GPA with the other D was less than 2.0. (My early years I was a real Slacker) Do you mean the overall final GPA with the D's because I think I was still above 3.0 with the D's?

Where did you find that listed?

I haven't found it published anywhere but was told by an advisor. I had a D that transferred from way back in my 2.27 gpa days but I am replacing it with another class/test as I don't want that class anywhere near my transcript.

The advisor said something like, "you can keep it because you have a B somewhere else that balances it out".

Not really sure what that meant and didn't really care because I was getting rid of it anyway.

Is it that easy to transfer credits to TESC? Is it a fully accredited university?

Yes, it is easy to transfer credit to TESC, but it does take a while to get the results of which of those they accept and what requirements they fill for a particular degree. Contact your prior school, have them send a transcript.

"Yes, all three are regionally accredited, which is the highest you can get, NOT national accreditation. The big three are in the same region as Harvard,Yale, MIT, etc- same regional body. A degree from any of the 3 is just as valid- for ANY purpose.
