Can anyone tell me if the following course groups would be considered depth for a Liberal Arts degree with Excelsior? I will need 2 depth requirements.
Macroeconomics
Microeconomics
Personal Finance
Money and Banking upper
Human Growth & Development
Introductory Psychology
Introduction to Educational Psychology
Adulthood & Aging upper
Intermediate Algebra - Aleks
College Algebra - Aleks
Statistics - Aleks
Behavior Science Statistics - Aleks upper
I am trying to make a decision if I want to swap over to Liberal Arts so I do not have to wait to take the Business Policy exam. EC tells me that I cannot register for this exam until cor has been met and I will not have all the tests done by the time this class starts.
I tried to talk the a councelor in the Liberal Arts School to ask but they will provide no information since I am a business student. She told me as soon as I swap over they will be able to help but will not provide any feed back until the evaluation is complete which will be another 3 to 6 weeks.
If I don't swap I will not make my deadline required by my employer to get my degree and that is really not an option. Any suggestions or information would be greatly appreciated.
Oh so confused!!!

Not sure about your requirements, but...
I would take Psyc of A&A and Gerentology. They have some overlap and you will get a good mark on each one if you study for both. I took these both in the same week, so I suppose that I studied about 3 days full time for each one.
Also, Research Methods in Psyc techniques come up in all of the psyc courses. I am glad that I took that first.
Hope this helps.

If your taking Business at Excelsior, the Business Policy requirement is not an exam, it's a course. It takes 4 months.
I registered for and started taking the course long before they had my transcripts that showed I met the prerequisites. I didn't ask if I could take it, I just did it. Not recommending that... your mileage may vary and all that.

Why not take this TECEP BUS-421-TE Business Policy test?

Just a small bit of info. According to my LA advisor statistics can be used as part of a depth in psychology. Of course you are going to want to verify that with the advisor you speak with ( it seems we often get conflicting advise on this site based on different advisors suggestions).
Additionally, I do not believe the LA program allows for more then one Aleks stats course ( based on duplication).

I misstated it as and exam, I meant course. Thank you. I had asked about signing up to take the course before they received received all my transcripts and the counselor stated it is not allowed.
So in light of this information, I am trying to decide if I should switch to a Liberal Arts degree so I can finish in time to meet my deadline with my work.
I hope someone can help me with the earlier request so I will have an idea if I am on target or need to rethink this whole plan.
Thanks again for your help.

I would try the following: Notify your employer of your progress and dilemma. Let him know that there is an issue with EC that needs to get resolved, and it may cause a delay in your completion date. They also have an ombudsperson at EC that you can tell your story to. Advisors are there to advise you, not to say they won't advise you. If you are an enrolled student, insist that they answer your questions.
Countdown to Graduation:
ECE World Population
ECE Cultural Diversity
ECE Psychology of Adulthood and Aging
ECE Social Psychology
ECE Foundations of Gerantology
ECE Psychiatric / Mental Health Nursing

Okay, well. I can't really come out and say what I would do in your shoes. I'd hate to be the originator of an idea that cost you somehow.
I will say this:
EC is not the most efficient group out there. I'm sure no one is watching the hen house so to speak. So I would feel obliged to just amble on in and take a chicken (course).
Too vague? I find the best way to avoid a "no", is not to ask. (Fair warning: this policy can sometimes bite back!)
Best of luck to you, whatever you decide.
