@Sanantone, so... what I am asking in different words: (how come I get the feeling that neither of us are understanding each other) With the degrees you get, without paying for them, (except aleks and Clep/dsst etc.) are accepted and recognized just as if you got a degree through, oh say, Thomas Edison, Liberty, Columbia, etc.?

I didn't say the degrees are free, but you can, if the college is cheap enough, earn a degree without paying any money out of your pockets. It's called financial aid. Most accredited colleges participate in federal financial aid programs. If you or your family's income is low enough, you can receive grants that you don't have to pay back. The people on this forum are mostly earning their degrees from TESC, EC, and COSC by using ALEKS, CLEP, DSST, transfer credits, etc. Many of them have also received financial aid in the form of grants and loans from the federal government all without paying a penny to a coaching service such as CollegePlus.

My local community colleges, for example, are about $2,000 per year. If you qualify for the max Pell Grant amount of $5550, then you will have enough money to pay for tuition and books. You will probably have enough money leftover to pay for other things such as CLEPs. The school will charge tuition no matter what. The taxpayers are subsidizing the public colleges and paying for your grants, but no money would have to come from you.

Good for you, but you only have one post on this forum. As for me and many others, this free forum has guided us through successfully completing our degrees. I didn't have to pay $3,000 to find people willing to help. Now that a CP member admitted that CP directs customers to IC, I'm really starting to wonder how much information the company and the "community" pull from here. Unfortunately, your money is not going to the community; it's going to the "side thing."

I actually have more than one post here, but they disappeared for some reason... but they were off topic things, but anyways....
As some have pointed out, educationally, it may not be the most cost effective resource out there, which I do agree with. CP does offer a TESC enrollment discount of $5500 (making the enrollment about $2500 instead of $8000).

So assuming one paid $1400 for one year CP enrollment, got done within that year, and enrolled to TESC for $2500, it's a lot cheaper than going your own route. Even by 2 years of $2800 CP enrollment, still pretty good.

Not if you test out of everything and enroll under the Enrolled Options Plan ($3,000). Now, there is a new tuition plan that's potentially even cheaper. But, thank you for reviving this thread which had been buried for 3 months.
