What is that supposed to mean?
Jonathan Whatley Wrote:What she means is that no one needs to use an institution "like CollegePlus." The institution you need to earn a recognized college degree is a recognized college, whether it's Thomas Edison State College, Liberty University, or Harvard University.
Back that statement up with good solid evidence. I know that is what sanantone is implying, but I have seen nothing proving it. So... back it up with solid evidence.

You need evidence that people can finish college online? What do you think most of the members are doing here? Hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of people have completed their degrees online without paying a coach. I'm sorry, but you aren't making any sense.
Okay. I should stop feeding it.

Lol... Re-read what I said.
I said an ACCREDITED DEGREE! In all you have said, you have failed to show that you can earn an accredited degree. That is all I asked for. By backing out, you said to me, "I can not prove it. You are right." Is this the "great" sanantone admitting that this way of education is all but useless? You are admitting defeat here.... that surprises me.
Sorry, but that is how your response reads its self to me... if that is not what you meant... then post proof that these are accredited degrees, and also a proper response to my question.

Cyrus, you obviously don't know what accreditation is. You also don't know anything about post-secondary education. Thomas Edison State College is accredited by the Middle States which is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. Excelsior is also accredited by the Middle States and Charter Oak is accredited by the New England Association. CollegePlus is not accredited because it is not a college. CollegePlus is not needed to get a degree from any college that has online programs. You just enroll like everyone else.

Cyrus, accredited degrees have been available from home by distance learning for more than 150 years. Queen Victoria chartered the University of London External Programme to offer distance learning in 1858. A Royal Charter is the British equivalent of American regional accreditation. In America, one pioneer was the Extension Division at Ohio University. Ohio University "allowed students to work towards a degree through forms of independent study" from 1914, with a fuller Correspondence program beginning in 1924.
CollegePlus offers optional, additional services, especially coaching, a webboard, and online flashcards. These are on top of the process of earning an degree by distance from an accredited college. Hundreds of thousands of people earn degrees by distance from accredited colleges by enrolling directly with the colleges.
It's so hard not to. I can't tell if it's a troll or someone in need of a thorough education.
