For those who have graduated from a program at this college. Before moving on to the next module, I reviewed information regarding lag times and Professor approval. I would like more information on the structure compared to UMPI as I find this to be a very cost-effective option.

I would like a brief explanation of the pretest, posttest, and projects, as well as the time required to progress to the next course.

For instance, are you required to take the posttest if you scored 80% or higher on the pretest?

You can be as specific and detailed as you like; this information will be extremely helpful.

Some courses require you to take the pretest before you take the post test. This is actually a good thing as you will find 60-70% of the pretest questions on the post test.

Of the courses I have taken so far, the only one that was really laggy was Texas Government and Politics (PSCI-2306). The professor took a few days to grade post tests and took 4 days to grade the course project assignment. Aside from that, every other class I've taken has been fairly straight forward, averaging between 3-4 days to complete.

They have changed up the program a bit in the past 6 months. Most courses now have 10-20 question pretests for each module instead of one 50-60 course pretest. Most courses i think had 3-6 modules. So that 80% pretest and skip the posttest is gone for good I think.

Projects vary from a couple paragraphs to 10 or so page essays. A few video projects were thrown in there as well. I did not find them extremely difficult, but APA format with multiple references were paramount. Some essay prompts were extremely vague and I didn't have a clue on where to start. I would start an essay and email them my concept to make sure I'm hitting the points of what they wanted. That took an extra day or two, but doing that I feel saved me time in the long run and instructors graded me easier after asking for their input.

Classes sometimes took me a weekend to complete, some took me two weeks. It really depended on how quickly I received the feedback and the final grades for the class from the instructor. Most were on top of it, sometimes grading in the same day. There was one specific instructor that infuriated me taking over a week to get feedback and another week to get a final grade.

Some of the modules have textbooks that require a TAMUC login. Others do not have textbooks but reading assignments from different chapters from different books. The capstones do not have workbooks, just final assignments.
