Thank you very much Getition1 for the long letter. I will try to apply your suggestions. Actually, I am 26, and already finished 3 years bachelor degree from Nepal on business. For the further study, I have to have 4 years degree, so I need to take some course in undergraduate level. Thanks. Big Grin

You are very welcome. Well that's great Anila Smile Hey, if things stay this cold in America…I wouldn't mind checking out India, where it's warmer… and I don't know a bit about the languages they use in India…so if there is anything I can do to help you let me know. Maybe one day I can check out India and you can return the favor ;D. I really think you would do best by using the "one on one" that a teacher of the native language can show you. Also, the right teacher who understands your goal is to finish (quickly and inexpensively)…that kind of person should be able to focus their efforts in teaching you the things you need the most work in so that you can pass whatever exam you decide on. The economy is still pretty bad here in the USA. Companies, schools, and small businesses have lots of people trying to get one single job. Unless the job is something we have a shortage of trained people for like teaching math or possibly some computer sciences or other sciences where language is not essential, it would be very hard to use that 4 year degree to find a job if you couldn't get the language/writing part done. I am not trying to be mean here, just trying to shed some light that having a 4 year degree doesn't guarantee anything in the civilian world post 2008. We were getting bad even back in the 2000's, but after the official recession…things have not been the same. I am going to assume that you want to work here in the US too? That's another reason why I think the ESL teacher route is the way to go. Teachers that teach this subject generally stick to it and love helping people from other countries. They can be extremely valuable resources when looking for a job. I had a friend from Bolivia that went to the adult school and that's what worked for him and allowed him to find a great job. For example, even if the teacher can't find you a job or point you in the right direction…often they will write you a reference if you are a nice, motivated and hard working student. If you are new to the US, references are pretty important here…especially 1. in this economy 2. if you plan to get into a competitive university 3. if you plan to apply for a competitive job. I hear what you are saying about the 3 year degree from Nepal (and now you just need the 4 year). My husband is from England and they have a different educational system compared to the US…so we went through this with him as well. He ended up having to take more than 1/2 his classes over again, so absolutely talk with someone in your field or reach out to the helpful folks on this board if you are considering one of the "big 3" schools (or other alternative). Overall, keep your positive attitude! If you want it bad enough, with the right amount of study and dedication you will pass Smile

You can do it Smile
