I was on track to completing my degree but life got in the way and I got off track. Now I am getting back on track. I only need 4 units to get a degree (3 upper level of any kind and 1 lower level of anykind). EC has approved me taking the DSST Substance Abuse for UL and CLEP US History II.
I just moved last week to Tempe AZ and was wondering if anybody has any suggestions or advice regarding testing centers in this area.
Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

Rio Salado Community College is in Tempe and they do CLEP testing M-F. They don't offer Saturday CLEP testing (I can't find anywhere that does in the Phoenix area), but they are open fairly late during the week (8pm I think). They don't make appointments, you just walk in and take it when you're ready. They may block out days during finals week. I think that they are more reasonable than ASU, somewhere in the $15-$20 range plus the CLEP cost.

Yes, Rio Salado Community College is one that I've looked into a little. It looks like a good place. Thanks

No problem. I need to take a few there also so let me know how it goes if you get there first.
Also, if you want to take any classes at any of the Maricopa Community Colleges, like Rio, you can take up to 6 credits per semester at a reduced rate since you live in the state, even though they won't grant residency status until you've lived here for a year. It ends up being a little less than $100 per credit I think after tuition and fees. Just an FYI in case you're interested.

Rio is probably your best choice. It was my personal favorite (and i've sooo many) testing center in the phx area. The people there are awesome and they make the testing process that much easier.
