I'm working on my BSBA at TESC and have no experience in accounting employment. However, I did some research on CPA requirements before deciding against it. I would suggest you first research the requirements for the state(s) you would be seeking a license. They vary by state and require specific experience time, degrees and coursework. You're right, this is a big commitment and could be a longer haul than you anticipate.
Why I chose TESC: I prefer online, cost (I'm a NJ resident, extra bennie for me,) I received transfer credit for every course I took from 1968-77. Since finding this forum, I've also discovered Aleks, Straighterline, CLEP and DSST, which makes the process even more attractive for me.
