I passed college algebra through ALEKS, so would it make any sense to take the test through saylor? Or would it simply overlap? I'm pretty good in it so it would be almost an easy pass lol
same credit, two sources

It would be a waste of time and money. Put your effort into moving forward. The one exception would be if you enrolled somewhere that absolutely won't give credit for ALEKS under any circumstances but does give credit for Saylor.

The credits will duplicate. Unless you're trying to get credit through one of the Alternative Credit Project's partner schools or one of Saylor's partner schools (most of them accept ACE credits anyway), the Saylor and ALEKS courses will be treated the same. The Saylor course has ACE and NCCRS approval and the ALEKS course has ACE approval.

And take the Saylor Business Stat. The reason is because, ALEKS stat will come in as lower level, but the Saylor Stat will be upper level!

The only duplicate method I would take would be taking the CLEP exam for math just because it's more widely recognized, but that would only be if the school I were going to were not going to accept ALEKS

The situations when it's worth it to take a course twice:
1) When grad school requires a prerequisite course that is within the past x years. 2) When you need brand new credits in the area of study for a 2nd bachelor's degree subsequent to the last degree earned. 3) When the school denies your credits because they're too old. 4) When you need credits in a more portable form like CLEP, AP, or a course at a RA school. And remember, a 70% from ALEKS is no guarantee that you'll pass a course/exam from another source, especially if you used unauthorized aids during the assessment.
