Whew! You know how to pick them! Wink

Unless you're already a whiz at Biology, the CLEP is probably going to require some serious study.

If you're a member of IC, you'll want to use those flashcards. Also definitely check out the Specific Feedback thread. A lot of really great information for this exam. Here's the direct link. Keep in mind you'll only be able to read it if you've subscribed already.

Welcome to the forum!

This is a tricky test to judge when you are truly ready to pass.

I have not gotten to add my feedback to the other thread, yet. Here is my post:

Hi,

Here is where I posted my feedback after taking this test. I completed it in November:

Just remembering the details of processes and having familiarity with all the different aspects is what is important. You can do it!!

I only passed this test because of my mad guessing skills!!! Quite seriously, though, I felt very lucky to pass. I was only certain on the answers of probably 15 questions on the test. About 50 of them were educated guesses, and the rest were all C Wink With that many guesses, I can't really say what the topics were, because since I had no clue I don't remember them. But I will say that if you get the REA study guide, you will have a perfect idea of the subject matter of the test. But only the subject matter. Take the REA book as a starting point & research far and beyond what they cover there.

My favorite resource for the bio clep was Biology Smart by Debbie Guest.
Amazon.com: Biology Smart (Smart Series) (9780679769088): Deborah Guest: Books
There are also several sources for practice exams from Peterson's (Prep for the CLEP - Peterson's) and the Official CLEP Study Guide (Amazon.com: CLEP Official Study Guide 2010 (9780874478532): The College Board: Books). Hope this helps & good luck!
