Try to wade in at the shallow end with something that you may already have strengths in and/or one of the easier exams such as Sociology just to get your feet wet. GOOD LUCK!!
Good analogy Shoto! You and Snazz definitely keep this board interesting! LOL hilarious hilarious

You should offer GRE, TOEFL, and other mainstream course material to get big in my opinion.

Steve,
Can you make a flyer that can be printed out so that anyone who wants to take it to their testing centers can have an official one from this site?
I made a small one at the request of a few students here who signed up after telling them about this site. Like I stated in an earlier post, I put it up at the Navy College here. Like many others here, I only found IC because I needed help with CLEP test and went online to do a search. To be honest, I was a bit hesitant to sign up at first. I am certainly glad I did though. This site has been a time, money, and life saver.
Oh, what about a starting a Myspace.com page. This should help with the younger college crowd. I have seen others advertise on there.
Let me know if you need any help with anything.

Maybe even create a MySpace page? Talk to Facebook about a licensing deal perhaps? Go for the High School market promoting a way to graduate quicker.
Offer a subscription option without advertising and a freemium option supported by advertising? Possibly interstitial ads between the question and answer.
Your page views could be huge.

Would a site name change or hot link do the trick?
InstantCert (as a name) is fine, but when looking for info on Clep and Dsst exams what do you think most people put into google to search for: clep info, clep help, clep exam?
If the search engines are looking for the top requests I don't know if "InstantCert" is one of the top results; it should be number one!
Just a thought.......

Hmm, we have done some thinking on GRE materials.....only problem is, that's not one of those exams where the goal is to pass. With the GRE, the higher you get, the better. Still, it may be worth doing since it's so much more mainstream.

No response; in my experience with them, Excelsior has never been good at responding to emails... Also, I took another look at the publication and I didn't see any evidence of advertising.

The military is an excellent idea... Besides having active duty customers post our flyer at their education center, I'm not sure what we can do. I believe the Air Force and Navy already offer their own free courses for CLEP prep, so some of their education advisors seem reluctant to consider other prep services.

We already offer a flyer in PDF format at
http://www.instantcertonline.com/members2/brochure.pdf
But, if you've already come up with your own that you like better, than please continue to post that.
As for your MySpace idea, I've never seen it used for advertising. Can you elaborate a bit more on how that would work?
