I think the answer to this question is buried somewhere on this forum but I have searched this site using Google's advanced search feature and I cannot find it. I also spent half a day trying to find the answer on TESU's website. (I'm not enrolled at any uni at this time but TESU is on the top of my list.)
I'm trying to knock out a few math courses using ALEKS. These are the ALEKS courses which have gained ACE approval through 31 July 2018.
- College Algebra w/ Trig
- Precalc
- Trig
- The 3 Statistics courses
- NOTE: Beginning Algebra and College Algebra are not currently approved by ACE.
I think I read the 3 statistics courses duplicate each other, at least at TESU.
Will TESU grant credit for College Algebra w/ Trig AND PreCalc AND Trig as 3 separate courses or do these courses duplicate each other as well? What's the current policy at TESU?
Thank you!

All three of those duplicate each other if I'm not mistaken.

Right now, you can get credit for College Algebra, Trig/Precalc, and Stats. I know that College Algebra with Trig duplicates Precalc on ACE.
I personally would do College Algebra, Precalc and Intro to Stats.

Dfrecore, you always answer my posts and I am grateful. This post is not meant to contradict you. It's simply informational.

We discussed this particular issue in another thread but it warrants repeating in the event others missed that thread.
Ir appears ALL ALEKS math courses are not currently ACE-approved. As of this writing, ALEKS has not changed their website to show any of their courses are ACE-approved. ACE is showing some ALEKS math courses are approved through 31 July 2018. To verify this, click on each ALEKS math course on the ACE website. The ACE website is showing that ALEKS' Beginning Algebra and College Algebra expired in 2017. That means that unless those 2 courses were not updated, they are currently NOT approved by ACE. However, the other ALEKS courses do appear to be approved through 31 July 2018. We cannot simply assume that because some ALEKS math courses are approved by ACE, that all ALEKS math courses are approved.
Someone else mentioned College Algebra is approved, even though ACE is showing is not approved. Maybe I will see if I can get in touch with someone at ACE on Monday.
All my Best!

I show that Beginning Algebra and Intermediate Algebra are expired, and that College Algebra is still good. You may want to double check your info.

Thanks to you, I rechecked the ACE website. I was incorrect. I was mixing up College Algebra and Intermediate Algebra. I'm so glad you noticed my error and corrected me.

Just an FYI, I took ALEKS Beginning Algebra back in 2011 and sent it to TESU in 2014 when they actually accepted it (as MAT-102) and it's on my transcript. I'm not sure why they changed to it being developmental (no credit) because it wasn't any easier than the Applied Liberal Arts Math TECEP.

This is what a TESU evaluator emailed me a few weeks ago regarding how they accept ALEKS math courses:
“Please see response from the evaluator. Hope this helps. Tks.
ALEK0006 Trigonometry would transfer in as MAT-129 which duplicates ALEK0004 College Algebra with Trig & ALEK0005 Precalculus.
ALEK0009 Statistics for Behavioral Sci would transfer in as STA-201 and duplicates Business Statistics and Intro to Statistics.”

I thought about doing ALEKS years ago. I really wish I had done so. Hindsight.
I have an auto-immune condition that has slowed my brain functions. I was hoping to find a cure and progress to the point where I could take an online math class for a letter grade but because I cannot process quickly, I cannot complete a math exam that requires me to be finished in a few hours. So, I'm basically stuck with work at my own pace with ALEKS.

Acamp, that's gold! Thank you so much for sharing!
