A Smart phone or a laptop to study on the go
#1
What is the best way to study WGU classes when I'm not at home in front of my computer?

A Smart phone or a laptop that I can carry around would help me with that?

Thx

I'm only 3 classes in to my WGU degree, and I'm not taking any general ed stuff there, so your mileage may vary, but...

WGU uses a lot of third party resources for their courses, some of them have great smartphone apps or compatible websites, some of them are absolute garbage on phones/tablets or not compatible at all. If money isn't an issue, a laptop (or cheaper netbook) would be a better way to go, maybe using your phone as a hotspot for Internet access when necessary.

You could probably get by with just your phone, but some resources you'd have to save for when you're at your computer.

I use the Microsoft Surface for my studies. It's perfect since you can use at as a tablet and it has a detachable keyboard. It's small enough to fit in my bag and light so I carry it around with me in case I get the time to study while I'm out or on the train (live in NYC). I'd recommend it. Smile
