A Smart phone or a laptop to study on the go - redBlue - 02-11-2017 What is the best way to study WGU classes when I'm not at home in front of my computer? A Smart phone or a laptop that I can carry around would help me with that? Thx A Smart phone or a laptop to study on the go - jsd - 02-11-2017 I'm only 3 classes in to my WGU degree, and I'm not taking any general ed stuff there, so your mileage may vary, but... WGU uses a lot of third party resources for their courses, some of them have great smartphone apps or compatible websites, some of them are absolute garbage on phones/tablets or not compatible at all. If money isn't an issue, a laptop (or cheaper netbook) would be a better way to go, maybe using your phone as a hotspot for Internet access when necessary. You could probably get by with just your phone, but some resources you'd have to save for when you're at your computer. It's perfect since you can use at as a tablet and it has a detachable keyboard. It's small enough to fit in my bag and light so I carry it around with me in case I get the time to study while I'm out or on the train (live in NYC). I'd recommend it. ![]() |
