That is not a business certificate. That is a general education certificate. It is meaningless out in the real world. If you want a business degree? Go for it!
Also, if you don't take at least 15 credits at TESU itself, you'd have to pay $1250 in residency waiver fees. At that point, you'd be much better off just paying the extra $2000 in degree residency waiver fees and getting a full degree.

This is a silly cert that means absolutely nothing in the real world - it shows everyone that you've completed your first year of college, which isn't even a thing. Do not waste your money.

Hi Ashok, I was listening to T.I's song - Whatever you like. I said, you can have whatever you like, yeah... What does that have to do with this post eh? Well, you can do the following: TLDR - Get an Associates en route to your Bachelors instead of this certificate. If you plan accordingly for a BALS, you can get the cert FREE as well en route to getting a free Associates. If you really want the cert or not, read below...
So, you're looking into business and wanting quick credits to get a simple certificate, that's great! You're being proactive! I usually recommend 3 things - 1) Certs 2) Degree 3) Experience... With the newest changes at COSC/TESU, you can go for an Associates & Bachelors, and skip the certificate, because you have to take 30 RA credits.
Having said that, TECEPS Lower Level are cheap at $150/exam, you can take 5 of these and you're half way through the Cert! You can then take 16 credits to waive the residency requirements and finish off the cert, associates and BALS. We just need to make sure the courses you take apply towards the residency requirements...
