TESU Human Services (Associate in Arts) help.

Really, what I wonder is your goal for this degree, and does it have to be through Thomas Edison or could it be through Charter Oak State College or Excelsior College instead?
BA, MA, EdS, MMT, etc.

I need a degree to get a job. I don't care where it is from. Hopefully one that will accept my ALEKS and Ace credit that I did already.

The only thing I have from a traditional college is Computer Literacy.

You could also take several of these classes including the literature one from Shmoop.com.

Is there a way to test out of their Psychology degree? Bachelor's? Or would I be able to transfer the general education associates degree to TESU's bachelors in Human Services?

Thank you SO much for your help. This is pretty confusing

Wow, Schmoop would be cheaper than Straighterline. Is there a guide that will show me what will transfer for a degree to either cosc or thomas edison for the general education

Most job openings mentioning a degree will want a BA/BS. Are you sure the AA is going to be of any use? I've seen job listings that accept an associates, but they are very few and far between. You'd also be competing against folks with higher degrees.

The major you've chosen is expensive to complete. Other majors at TESU require a lot less money. As KayV asked, does it have to be in human services? Are there jobs that specifically ask for a "human services" or would employers prefer something more specific like BA in Social Work or MS Social Work? (I have no idea, this isn't really my area) Start from the goal (the ideal job?) and work backwards. I doubt the AA is going to be enough.

Here's the thing, AA (of any type) don't really work perfectly between schools, they are all just a bit different - so my advice is if you THINK you might get a BA at some point, choose the AA from the school where you would potentially get the BA to assure a good streamline and nothing being wasted.
