For the AA without Capstone, what do you have to actually take at TESU? I may consider this option for my younger child.
Here Researching for my son, who has done the following:
Community College: Intro to Philosophy, Fundamentals of IT, English Comp 1
Saylor: Intro to Business, Principles of  Marketing, Corporate Communication
Shmoop: US History 2 (WGU won't accept this)
ALEKS: Int. Algebra, College Algebra
Study.com: Personal Finance, Principles of Finance, HR Management, Global Business, Advanced Operations Management
Straighterline: US History 2, Environmental Science, US History, Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, English Comp 2, Principles of Management, Business Law, Business Ethics, Psychology, Organizational Behavior, Accounting 1,Communication, Managerial Accounting, Statistics
Ed4Credit: Managing Information Systems
Sophia: Project Management
WGU: Bachelors in HR Management

Second son is currently attending Penn Foster for his high school diploma, then on to Ashworth for An Associates in Criminal Justice

The TESU Associate in Arts does not require a Capstone. It just includes the general education component of BA degree.

The TESU AAS in Criminal Justice does not require a Capstone either.

Nor do the Associate in Science in Natural Sciences and Mathematics (ASNSM) degrees.

You don't have to take anything at TESU, except possibly the cornerstone ($300) if you don't transfer in enough credits. I personally would not get just an AA at TESU, it's too expensive with the $2000 residency waiver fee. Maybe if you were going to go on for the BA, but even then, it's iffy unless you were really really close to getting the BA.

Instead, look at COSC, they don't have a capstone for their AA's (I don't think) and it's a cheaper way to go for the AA.

I think EC might be cheaper as well if you get POAG.org pricing (join as an associate for $25/year). But it looks like their AA's require a capstone.

For an AA at TESU, it's about $2698 for fees, and then the pricing for your courses (60cr worth, which amounts to the same price as it would for COSC). For an AA at COSC, it's about $1738 for fees. These prices include the cornerstone course, graduation fees, and other misc fees.

COSC has a 3-hour Cornerstone for the AA/ AS at regular tuition rates. It would be even cheaper when you consider incorporating FEMA classes.

Is it possible to do all of my general education though Straighterline? I barely have any money. I can do small monthly payments but I can't cough up 200-500 for tests, etc.

I've never heard of it. How do I do that? Will Thomas Edison take the credits from there?
