Athabasca University is a public distance learning university located and fully accredited in Canada that additionally holds U.S. regional accreditation (coincidentally from the same agency as TESU, Middle States). Athabasca offers
a good list of French courses including upper-levels taught in French.

$2000 for a course is pretty high, but it's not THAT high compared to some foreign language courses. At least one can get the other credits needed for TESU cheaply.
In progress:
TESU - BA Computer Science; BSBA CIS; ASNSM Math & CS; ASBA
Completed:
Pierpont - AAS BOG
Sophia (so many), The Institutes (old), Study.com (5 courses)
ASU: Human Origins, Astronomy, Intro Health & Wellness, Western Civilization, Computer Appls & Info Technology, Intro Programming
Strayer: CIS175, CIS111, WRK100, MAT210

So the history course has to be in the target language as well?
Does anyone know if this requirement can be met by any other means (foreign high school, etc)

Hey degreedude80,
I was building a TESU Spanish/Philosophy dual major (as a second bachelor's) plan before ultimately joining another grad program this fall. Though I still want to do my TESU plan some day.
Anyway, I found all the SPAN plan classes I needed to slot into the TESU requirements in the California Community College system. Which is $46/unit if you are a resident of California, but more than that if you aren't. (There are likely other courses that fit, I focused on ones in California because I live there.)
Long Beach City College teaches Spanish 25B, Advanced Spanish: History, taught in Spanish.
My overall plan is different from the one I last posted, I switched Compton College (Compton, CA) to El Camino College (Torrance, CA).
I think SPAN 25B is taught online, but the big catch was of SPAN 25A-25D I only saw like one edition of the 25-sequence being taught each semester. That was the case when I looked several months ago.

Sophia also offers Spanish 1 and Spanish 2 which may be taken for foreign language.
SDC offers these courses as well.

Thanks. The language I am looking for is not a common one. I guess I need to ask a TESU advisor directly.

There are a number of specific course, such as a history class taught in the language of your choice, that can be very hard to find. I haven't seen many applicable classes, even for Spanish or French, which are arguably the most popular foreign languages in the US.
If you're set on this degree, check out the wiki page here as a starting guide: https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Obscure_Credits Oregon State University is probably the most likely source for most credits you might need, but it depends on the language you want.
Do you know if it is possible to use portfolios to meet the history or major writers requirements??

In my case I was looking into Urdu, Hindi, or Persian
