TESU Capstone Date
#1
I'm currently enrolled and set to take courses at community college. The Pell grant covers them and my total cost is $0. I was all set to use my Pell Grant to cover my capstone in May at TESU but I ran into a small problem. You can't receive aid from two schools at one time. The courses at Community College end just a few days into May. It doesn't matter if there independent study online courses, they are dated to end in May. Meaning I would have to wait until June to take the capstone at TESU. This wouldn't be a problem, except I'm really aiming for September graduation. Do you know if TESU would let me take the capstone in June and still graduate in September? Anyone done something like this?

I know that's why I'm posting this thread.

If I wanted September graduation, I would need to have all my coursework done by July and register for my course by May.

I was wondering if they made exceptions.

If you want to graduate in September the latest Capstone enrollment is May term. (this information is on the link zzzz24 posted)

The dates are clearly outlined, so I would assume no. If I could have graduated in March then I would have registered for the December capstone.

The Capstone grading for the June term will not be complete in time for the September Graduation audit.

You could always take it in June and apply for Sept - worst case is it rolls into a December Graduation, when the grade isn't posted in time for Sept (who knows maybe you'll get lucky and it will work out - I've heard it happened to one person, not sure which Capstone/Degree they had).  Won't cost you any extra $ - just you won't be able to walk for Sept commencement if it rolls to December graduation (if that is part of your plan - it was part of mine this year, but alas still I'm still a 2018 Grad - so I'm good Smile )

I think thats what I'm going to do. It's just frustrating. If only the CC courses were two days shorter...
