And since your state requires 3cr of Ethics specifically, I would take another Ethics course just to be sure. One that doesn't come in as PHI-384 Business Ethics.

Yeah, im going to see if i can find a cheap board approved option.
Also kayv i counted the hours at 122. Under my math, it says it is all ready filled in gen reqs. I think that was the mess up. Only one of the maths is all ready county so the other is worth three.

Saylor has Environmental Ethics (and there's a TECEP as well)
DSST has Business Ethics & Society (BUS-302 is what it comes in as I think)
DSST - Ethics in America
SL/Study.com - Business Ethics if you just want to replace the Insurance Ethics course with a 3cr alternative (same course number)

For a Texas CPA license, ethics courses must be on this list: https://www.tsbpa.texas.gov/pdffiles/app...ourses.pdf

Since most of the ethics courses are semester based, somewhat expensive, only from the listing above, and the CPA was more of an after thought of the degree. I will probably just use the free ethics course for my BSBA. Then take an ethics that meet the requirements during my masters if i pursue a CPA. Because depending on how advancement in my current job goes, I may not even need it.
I would hate to spend extra time and money now, when I am working from the very bottom, when it would be in theory (much) less of a financial stress to pay and take the course once I am in a better paying position. Plus, I do believe the company offers some extra benefits to the finance/account departments that hourly workers do not get. So educational benefits may be included.

I found out today I was awarded the Study.com scholarship. (A Shout out is deserved here to Synicaal for telling me about it :hurray::roflol I have replied to their email and I am awaiting my instructions. If I am correct, I will be getting personal finance, and have 6 free courses to take (3 months membership). I have changed up some on my degree to reflect this, only major changes in my business core and cost. I will also be replacing one Shmoop course with personal finance as an elective, and replace the other with straighterline/aleks/saylor since it would be more economical since I would only be taking one.
My main concern is managerial accounting. I will be taking principles of managerial accounting, and managerial accounting from Study.com which shows on the transfer guide as acc-101 and acc-301. Straighter-line's Managerial accounting shows on their transfer guide as Cost accounting acc-303. However when I looked at the course listing from Tesu they do not have acc-301 available, so I am concerned the acc-301 was turned into acc-303 and the two courses would be duplicates. Any thoughts or insights?
For reference Study.com 2 Tesu Transfer, SL 2 Tesu Transfer, Tesu Course Listing.
Another other thoughts on the changes?

First off you are welcome!! That's what this forum is about. Also you will only get 6 total courses for free from Study.com, Personal Finance counts as 1 of those 6 so you will have to drop a course somewhere along there unless you want to buy an extra month. Applied Managerial Accounting comes into TESU as Applied Managerial Accounting, not sure why study has it listed the way it does, from the info I got on the forum and from when I originally planned out my degree study.com had it listed right then. You will have to drop one of the 7 off your list, If you have access to a CLEP, DSST center you can find available options for Financial Accounting (the intro course) or Principle of Finance. Or add a month of Study.com and add another course to your list.
Thomas Edison State University - BSBA: Accounting - September 2017

Aleks: Intermediate Algebra, College Algebra, PreCalculus

Study.com: Principles of Finance, Advanced Accounting I, Applied Managerial Accounting, American Government, Macroeconomics, Principles of Management, Globalization and International Management, English Composition II, Intro to Computing, Public Speaking, Info Systems and Comp Apps
SL: Intermediate Accounting I, Introduction to Religon, Cost Accounting, Western Civilization I/II
TECEP: Strategic Management, Federal Income Tax

Thanks for the help. I will probably just go back to taking the DSST for Principles of Finance and drop that from study.com. Its the cheapest option for 3 UL thats not an elective. Plus it has slightly more resources than tesu for the other requirements. Ive started Personal Finance course now, I have finished 1/10 chapters.
Since it doesnt really say (or maybe i just missed this info somewhere?) Im assuming the quizzes and final are required? the other course work is just study material?

Yeah for some of the courses if you get a 100 on all quizzes you get 50 total points and then need a 55 or better on the final to get 105/150 = 70%. Some courses have a project which you then need 210 points to pass, so 100 on all quizzes get you 100 points, then the project is worth 100 and the final is worth 100.
As for the one you drop , def drop one you don't need from Study.com and you can get elsewhere, unfortunately scholarship members are not allowed to take the extra exams for $70 or that would work out perfect for you.

The DSST Principles of Finance's acceptance by TESU is expiring 1/31/17 (see here). I'm not sure if they'll renew it or not; they just extended it from Dec 31st 2016 to Jan 31 2017.
I think I've read on this forum that Penn Foster is about the only other alternative beside Study.com and DSST for this course...?
