Sorry was confused. So you can learn the score for final exam first and then submit essays?
The rubrics say you must submit your essay before registering for final.
It would be nice if it can be done after.
The essays comprise how much of total score?

essays tend to be about 100 points out of the 300. Check the syllabus preview for variations on that. example. soc of work has 2 assignments, each is 50 points (so 100 points for essays/assignments) out of the 300. example: history holocaust has 3 assignments and the breakdown still equals 100 points, but essay 1 is 25 point. essay 2 is 50, essay 3 is 25. example: eng 305 1 assignment. 100 points. Every sdc course I have seen is 300 points total and need 210 to pass. maybe there's exception. but general rule

Thanks, so 100% on quizzes and if one gets a good score on final, the essays are just extra? 210 is passing score on all sdc courses.

If 100 on quizzes
and
100 on final
equals 200.
then need 10 points on essays.
Of course, I have heard stories that people have turned in "I am not writing this essay" and take the zero score when they have multiple essays and already have enough points. But in a one essay class. well.... can't do that.
in my case, I did the essay before final (due to what it said on my screens about that). I had 99 or 100 on quizzes. and I knew my essay score later the same day (let's say 98 because I forgot a concluding sentence/paragraph. LOL. how did I forget that?). so that meant I could relax about final and only need 13 or so points. but I did my best and got good scores on those finals.
do the work, and you'll do fine. read the rubrics

Thanks.
I will try my best on all the essays. Just a little rusty as the last course with essays was almost a year ago.
And as usual just terrified of getting a bad grade even though I study a lot.

It's a Free Elective. It wouldn't help anyway, as it's only 1cr - so you'd need something that was a 2cr course to make up for it, and you probably don't have one of those.

Yep, you can take the final first and then you'll know how many points you'll need from your essay(s). Something I didn't realize is that you can resubmit your essay. You'll receive feedback so you simply make the suggested improvements and resubmit for a higher score! Knowing this takes the pressure off.

Yes, I imagine knowing that would take lots of pressure off. Thanks for the heads up.

Just remember that the date completed for ACE purposes is the date you complete the EXAM - even if you submit the essay/assignment(s) after.

You should try your best with the essays. That's quite complicated.
