Purdue Global will be a LOT of writing. If you're not comfortable writing papers in English, I wouldn't recommend it. If you are comfortable writing papers in English, you need to be aware that you'll be writing anywhere between 3-6 papers for every class. It's a lot of writing. Some people are fine with that, others are not.

I don’t mind that much writing papers, but probably this will lead to a longer time in finishing the degree. In the other side, I will be quite comfortable with most of the courses for IT. I believe they are allowing 135 credits above 180 total. Do you have an idea how many terms will it take todo the remaining 45 credits, considering that I can use 15-18 hours a week ?

It will take you at least two, but more likely three or four. It depends on how fast you can write papers. IIRC, dfrecore's husband is/was doing this degree. He's been at it for a while.

OK, thanks for giving me at least an idea. At this point I will probably try to follow the UMPI path or going for the TESU CS counting on some more effort for the math.

Purdue has a lot of writing, and that's really not learning the subject matter, you're explaining what you're taking in... If you're interested in written assignments, Purdue may be a good choice. Having said that, I think you should see how fair your transfers are and then see which school will get you there cheaper, easier, faster.

You really need to decide if competency based is for your or not, it depends on the time commitments you have (or in your case, don't have - your answer to my previous question was about a couple hours a day to spend on your studies up to 18/week). The more time you have, I would go the PUG/UMPI way, the lesser, TESU.

I think competency based is the best way for me, since I really have a lot of experience. In the other side, my ultimate goal is to get the bachelor in as less time as possible as an entry point for a master. I can also mention that budget is not one of my biggest worries, even if I would like for sure to stay as cheap as possible.
So, actually I can see some options:
. PG IT (I understand will have a lot of writing and probably more time consuming)
. UMPI BLS MIS (maybe also writing but less and apparently could be done in less then one year)
. TESU CS (math could be an issue, what about time ?)
. TESU BALS WITH CS CONCENTRATION (I believe could be easier then CS and I could probably use ACTFL for Spanish and Italian)
What will be your suggestion then, thinking that, as you said, I could use between 15 and 20 hours per week ?

Since your journey is to get admissions into a computer science program at the Masters level, I suggest a quick Bachelors as you have the experience and work history. I suggested the UMPI BLS MIS option as it's competency based as well, you should be able to complete it in the two terms in about 6 months. Having said that, if you do decide down the road while working on the first degree you may stop at the Bachelors level, it's usually better to have a degree in that particular field/subject area.

Some more questions related to UMPI:

- Will they accept the ACTFL exams ? I would like to take at least 2 for Spanish and/or Italian, that will normally give 24 credits.
- Will they accept SDC exams for computer science even if they will not have an equivalence in UMPI ? I believe they could came in as GE.
- In case the computer science exams from SDC will come in, will they maintain the UL status ? I've checked this link https://study.com/college/school/umpi.html and selected courses that will be accepted.

1. Yes, they accept ACTFL exams. I don't remember if they give you full credit or not, but they will at least count as electives for anything past 3 foreign language credits.
2. Accepted SDC courses are here: https://study.com/college/school/umpi.html They would be electives. If they are not on that list, they wouldn't be accepted.
3. If the SDC page says that they're UL, they're UL. If it says LL, they're LL.

Remember, you can only transfer in a total of 90 credits toward any one degree. Electives can be anything, but you have a limited number of those. The exact amount varies depending on the degree you seek.
