You can try, but I'm sure as I can be without actually hearing them say it, that page predates making SOS-110 the cornerstone and that they will NOT accept the TECEP in place of the online course.

Also, shame about there being no TECEP for SOS-110. I got excited when I saw what you posted, udi.
I'm still waiting on an email with a number of questions I sent to TESU over the weekend so hopefully once they respond I can find out if I should just go ahead and bite the bullet/enroll in SOS-110.
By all means ask them to to let you take TES-100, but if (when) they do say no, I think you should just go ahead and get SOS-110 done.
That's what I was thinking, it'll probably feel better to just go ahead and get it out of the way because I'm sure they'll use the 2019 catalog and stick with the SOS. Oh well, my fault for procrastinating!
I looked through your spreadsheet. Have you considered the Charter Oak State College General studies with American studies concentration?

I'm not sure if they would take the TEEX courses or not. I'm not even sure whether we can still transfer 117 credits into Charter Oaks. It's impossible to keep up with everything.

COSC has long required both a cornerstone and capstone so that the most you can transfer towards a degree is 114 credits.

I haven't actually looked into COSC very much, pretty much just went with TESU from the get go. However, that actually doesn't seem bad considering it looks like I pretty much have met the concentration requirements and it would save money if I have to do the SOS-110. I'm using Study.com at this point so getting some extra electives if they didn't take TEEX wouldn't be the worst thing in the world.
The whole process is pretty overwhelming and I keep trying to just solve it in my head but it's hard without having an updated evaluation. Trying not to stress out over it, haha.
Thanks for all the input so far!

Yeah, thanks. I thought I had read that, but couldn't remember. Does that mean Exelsior is the last for 117 credits?

I'm pretty sure that TESU was the last for 117 credits and that they are all now 114.
Note: I was corrected below. EC still allows 117cr.

(gasp). I didn't know that! They still post on their website that 117 credits can be transferred in: https://www.excelsior.edu/transfer-more-credits
Well, there goes that. Honestly, it's not too late for me to switch to WGU. It will mean a few classes don't get applied, but it would be worth it if I could finish within 6 months.

EC does not have a cornerstone, they still only require 117cr.
TESU now requires SOS-110, TES-100 is no longer listed on the degrees as an option, and the Gen Ed page has changed as well; it now shows SOS-110 as the only possible course to meet the Info Lit requirement. https://www.tesu.edu/academics/courses/2019-and-after.
The only good thing they did was update the fact that you can't use Tech Writing as an option to meet the Written Comm requirement (they haven't accepted it for like 3 years).

So, the reason I've been confused about that webpage for two weeks is because the course and exams aren't organized by row, rather list items. There is no TECEP exam currently to test out of SOS-110.

There has never been a TECEP exam to test out of SOS-110. The course was always an option to meet the Info Lit Requirement, and now it is the only course that will meet that requirement. And it is a full 12-week course, always has been.

It would help if we had an 'Important' thread showing the maximum credit transfer for each of the Big 3 with the cost breakdown and for who it applies to (people before a certain date at TESU). I don't know if there's a summary like that on the Wiki, but not everyone is going to notice it there. I think I've seen people posting 117 credits recently as if that is still 'the' number (or they were old threads and I just didn't notice).
