Hi there, I am new! I have done a ton of research... and just when I think I have made up my mind... I change my mind. My goal is to get a BSBA degree at either TESU or possibly UMPI as fast as possible... and then apply to a California MBA program. Here is my background:
Your Location: California
Your Age: 37
What kind of degree do you want?: BSBA - Any kind of business degree (I am currently a marketing director at a large California law firm...so anything pertaining to business or marketing)
Current Regional Accredited Credits: I went to a community college in 2005-2006 and took whatever I wanted without guidance. Unfortunately, I messed around and did not get a good grade. Classes are as follows:
Math 101 – D
College Writing Skills – D
Gen Psychology – C
Ch Dev 33A – D
Ch Dev 30 – B
Health 1 – D
Photo 1 – D
Ch Dev 40A – B
Geo 4A – B
Chief 5 – B
Ch Dev 12 – A
Ch Dev 32 – B
Ch Dev 8B – B
COTR-19G – A
Ch Dev 160 – A
Ch Dev 6 – A
Ch Dev 8A – A
PE 16 – A
Current ACE, CLEP, or NCCRS Credits:
Sophia completed Classes:
-Art History 1
-Art History 2
-Macroeconomics
-English 1
-English 2
-Intro to Nutrition
-Intro to Ethics
-Visual Communication
Any certifications or military experience?:
I hold a Digital Marketing Science certificate (not a degree) from Chico State University
Budget: Any
Commitments: Work full time but from home (schedule is flexible)
Dedicated time to study: Weekends and evenings
Timeline: I would like to apply for an MBA this fall, but I am worried I won't make it in time, so possibly Jan 2025. Whatever gets me a bachelors the fastest
Tuition assistance/reimbursement: n/a
My concern is the ACBSP accreditation. Does it matter when trying to get into an MBA program? TESU has the certification for its BSBA, but UMPI does not. That is what is making me lean towards TESU. But maybe it does not matter and I am overthinking it.
Any advice or thoughts are greatly appreciated.
