TESU BA Sociology Guidance

Hey guys.. I've spent most of the day researching to try to get the most out of what I have, and this is what I've concluded.  Can anyone think of alternatives/easier routes/courses I haven't found?  Would love guidance!  Specifically in areas where there's blanks or where I have more than one option, like ENC-102.  Thanks so so so much.

Also, I ran out of space, but I switched to a BA Sociology from BSBA Marketing as only 42 of my credits transferred. The degree is just for the resume -- I'm stuck in a stagnant place in tech/success/sales because I don't have a bachelors.

You can do College Composition II on Study.com too.

The free ethnics course does work. It comes in as two credits, but you can e-mail academic advising to have the course fulfill the requirement and make up the last credit elsewhere.

As you only want the degree for resume purposes, did you see if you could complete the BA in Liberal Studies faster? It might be the same, but you have a chance to bring in more credits this way.

I personally don't know anyone with a liberal studies degree with a decent job, so I think I'd consider Psychology instead even though that nets me only 54 Credits instead of 60 if Sociology isn't feasible.

I found the College Comp CLEP very easy, but your mileage may vary.

I haven't taken the Study.com version for Sociology, but I found the CLEP pretty easy. Basically just watched all of the Crash Course videos on double speed. Again, your mileage may vary.

You most likely will only need 12 UL Sociology Electives, as your Social Theory class will probably be UL and knock out three of them (both of TESU's options are UL, and it would appear CSU-Pueblo's is upper level but I don't know how TESU will transfer it).

I don't recall being asked hardly any person/place/date questions on the American Government CLEP, but you could also take Comparative Politics (through Saylor or Study.com) instead (or instead of the Psychology of Women TECEP, as Comparative Politics can fill either spot)

The Sociology degree only has three classes that can't be tested out of: Cornerstone, Capstone, and Social Theory.

My only comment is to avoid the Uexcel courses in the $345 dollar range. Between TESU, DSST, CLEP, Study.com, Davar, you should be able to find something similar and cheaper for the liberal studies degree.

A bachelor's in psychology isn't much more useful for jobs because most jobs involving psychology require additional expertise.

This isn't an "additional" one, but I can tell you that Substance Abuse DSST WILL count as UL for the Sociology degree

That's good!  I think that will bring me up to 12 UL with the required Social Theory class, so I guess I'll either need to find one more or do 4 classes at TESU.
