TESU - Advisors
#1
Just FYI, I've been working with Brian Muldorf at TESU to finish planning my degree and get everything put in properly. He's amazing. A couple of someones here in previous threads commented on his helpfulness, and I've found that to be equally true.

If you have a choice, pick Brian. He's gone way above and beyond! With his help, I'm 9 classes (soon to be 7) away from testing through a BSBA in Math!

P.S. It might help if you tell him up front you're picking him because of the recommendations to use him from this forum. I told him he came recommended, and he was shocked and pleased.

I've never even talked to my advisor. I got a voicemail or 2. I got the approval to take capstone from some group email address.

Yeah, it's always from the studentsupport email, but you can schedule an advising appointment with a specific advisor, and if you have the choice to pick Brian, by all means do!

You weren't assigned somebody else when you enrolled? You could bypass that person?

As of yet I've never been assigned anyone. I requested an appointment with an advisor through their link, and was able to pick from the drop down who to speak with. I picked Brian because he was available at at time that I was, but also because someone in a thread somewhere on here talked him up.

There's a BSBA in Math? I don't see that option on the academic evaluation "what if...".

Oh, whoops. No you're right, it's BA in math, not BSBA. My bad. I will correct my signature now.I had them mixed up because somewhere else I was looking it was BSBA.

Do you mean Brian Muhlberger? I got via email Donald Stoltz once for one horrible set of interactions, and I wound up trying to send an email to the ADA coordinator because Stoltz's comments were insisting on a phone appointment.

The automated email system *still* sent my forwarded email to Stolz who answered rudely an email with my medical details (HIPAA violation) Confused . And he never made the requested changes or answered reasons, just gave me a runaround. :-(

I was almost resigned to having to fulfill all my degree advising requirements myself, without any preplanning consultations. I wondered if he could even read for understanding.
