TESC and GI bill
#1
Hello,
Does anyone know if either of the GI bills will pay for the enrollment fee at TESC if i enroll as a normal student? I don't want to go back and take the courses required for the military completion program's residency credits. Any suggestions? Thanks

You might want to double check on that. I gave my wife my GI Bill and TESC told me that they would not charge her the Enrollment fee as long as she sent in her certificate of eligibility along with her application. All classes will be covered. However, they did not tell me whether or not she needed to finish her residency under the military degree completion program.

bit of a thread bump here, but i'm just starting my process with TESC and post 9/11 GIB. So how does it work? I have applied for admission and they have all of my transcripts. I just got my NOBE today from the VA for CH.33 benefits. Now i'm stuck. Do I have to pay the enrolled option tuition out of pocket and get the VA to reimburse me, or does the VA office at TESC cover the tuition? I emailed the VA office at TESC two weeks ago and still haven't heard anything.

I've been lurking though these threads for almost a year and have learned a ton! I've finally put all the parts in play and I'm ready to get this ball rolling

I had to pay the $75 fee despite using my GI Bill. As for your question tabber the Ch 33 GI Bill will pay the school directly, no reimbursement needed. TESC will deal with the VA for you from now on.

Yep, that is what happened with my wife. Once she sent in her 9/11 GI Bill certificate of eligibility, the school handled everything through the VA. It paid for the enrollment fee completely, nothing out of pocket except for the $75. TESC said that if you are enrolled using the GI Bill, there is no requirement to complete the military degree completion program, you can just take a couple of classes and test out of the rest if you want.

As far as I know the GI Bill doesn't pay for application fees, enrollment fees, graduation fees, etc, but your college may waive these fees because of veteran status...

MA2,

The GI Bill covered all of my fees at TESC for my AAS including the grad fee and the technology fee. I have confirmed that they will do the same for my BA.

Also interesting: I registered for a TECEP, which the GI Bill will also cover, and they are going to roll ALL of the tuition and fees into that cost. I will once again graduate without paying a dime.
