TESC Evaluation

Prloko Wrote:Welcome back, congrats on knocking out a bunch of exams. Gaining momentum sometimes is the hardest part and you seem to be excelling.

Thank you....its been hard to keep motivation since Im working a crazy schedule. Finished up the US History this morning after a 12 hr shift and I'm contemplating taking the English Lit CLEP on Monday and the Environment and Humanity DSST this coming Friday.

Just an update (and keeping myself accountable!)

Since the last update I have passed:
Environment and Humanity DSST 3cr
English Lit 6cr
Sociology 3cr

The only two tests it looks like I have left are:
Organizational Behavior and Substance abuse

I just need those two UL DSSTs and I should be done with the testing needed. I will then be taking an 8 week course to complete the English comp 2 requirement to refresh me on writing and citing for the capstone.

Awesome! You are trailblazing through this.
CLEPS Passed: 10 DSST Passed: 11 TECEPS: 1

Don't waste time by trying to save time. The only sure way to complete your degree is to knock out credits quickly and efficiently.

Don't let easiness bite you in the rear. Know your endgame (where you want to be) and plan backward from there. Your education is a means to an end.

Be honest professionally, socially and academically. There are people (especially little ones) who look up to you and they're going by your example.

Be proud. Whether you're an Engineer or Fast Food worker, there is honor and dignity in hard work.

Picking on people weaker than you only proves that you are a weak person.

So Im a little peeved right now.

I just went to look at my student record (takes them forever to evaluate CLEPs and DSSTs) and it looks like I was removed from my old catalog (2014-2015) and put under the new one (2015-2016). I was told that under the MDCP my catalog would be locked in. I tried to call the college and they are closed.....its never easy.

**I usually use the drop down to view (much easier to read view)

When I actually click on the actual Academic Evaluation, it still says 2015 catalog. Kinda a bummer that I cant use the other view anymore, it was much easier to decipher.

with mdcp, you are enrolled at application, so unless you made some change, you should be under the old catalog. if you havent made a change, i would press the issue with the school after the holiday.

I made sure with them, they said I am still under the old plan.

I also knocked out the Substance Abuse DSST; by my calculations one more (Organizational behavior DSST for the UL credit) and I am done with the tests!

I will be registering for the Capstone in SEP when registration becomes available at the end of the month.

Wow! Awesome. Think of how long this would have taken if you would stayed with AMU or had been talked into going to St Leo, Embry Riddle or the other Post schools. They are great schools, but you would still be sitting in night classes for at least a year. Congrats, and keep the momentum.

Thank you very much, I appreciate it!

I know....it would have taken MUCH longer to finish.

So it looks like most of my transcripts have been updated and plugged in. Does anyone see anything that can be switched around or optimized differently? Also, I need to call because its seems they have still not added the Intro to religion DSST.

It looks like I would have to take quite a bit more classes to raise my GPA to a 3.6 or 3.7 (damn that C-), so thats kind of a bummer. I guess I might take some more, just going to have to cross that bridge when I get to it.
