TESC Liberal Studies - Diploma?

CollegeStudent7 Wrote:Interesting..did not realize this. I'm considering the BSBA. I still wonder why other degrees just flat out refuse to put it on the diploma..going to ask a TESC advisor! Smile

Hopefully this will add clarity:

only the name of the degree is printed on the actual diploma

bachelor of arts
bachelor of science
bachelor of science in business administration
bachelor of science in health sciences
bahcelor of schience in applied science and technology

the concentration or major is listed on the transcript
so psychology, history, social sciences, homeland security, general management, accounting, cis, dietetic sciences, clinical lab science....are detailed on the transcript only not printed on the actual diploma

look at this page for a visual, maybe you will understand it better

what you can study (in black) is the concentration or major
the degree title (printed on diploma) is hyperlinked in red

TESC:

BA, Social Sciences. 2010. Arnold Fletcher Award.
AAS, Environmental, Safety & Security Technologies. 2011
BSBA, General Management. 2011. Arnold Fletcher Award. Sigma Beta Delta (ΣΒΔWink!

In my unscientific survey of colleges that list the major on their diplomas (google image search), it seems quite a few do list the major on the diploma. It would be interesting to know why COSC and TESC do not.

Thanks for breaking it down for my Bric..that adds some clarity! For the rest of my question (for those majoring in Psych, etc.) I will call TESC..just out of curiosity! Wink

I'm going to try to give them a call when I have the time. Unfortunately I'm stuck at my crappy job all day long hilarious so I don't know if their office hours will coincide with mine. If you find out anything else let us know! Thanks again bric. :hurray:

My AA from the University of Alaska has my major on it. I don't think it's terribly unusual...or "millish"... Wink
