TESC Evaluation - Need Input
#1
Ok my academic evaluation finally came through. I went ahead and copied the eval for a liberal studies degree since I was informed in an earlier thread that I would be closer to completion for it than anything else.

1st question, what do I do with a few sections where I need .33 credits. Has anyone ever had this waved? I really don’t want to take another whole class for less than half of a credit.

2nd I’m thinking of taking the following DSST exams; Ethics in America, World Religions, Substance Abuse, and Here’s to your Health. Would these fit well , or would some overlap.

3rd Can anyone think of any other tests, or online options to fulfill any of the other requirements?

Where did all of these 2.67 credits come from? I'm with Sanatone in saying you should see how some of these engineering and IT credits apply towards one of those degrees.
The analyzing and interpreting literature CLEP is good for 6 credits under general education.

Yes, and because none of my community college credits can be used as UL it still doesn't put me close to a degree in either major. I can post the evals if you would still like to see them.

Most of my credits were acquired under quarter hours instead of semester hours. COSC just gave credit for classes like the english and didnt leave random fractions of credits that need to be earned.

TESC will often make exceptions for something as small as 0.33 credits. They did for me after I sent an email. If you're just as close to another degree as the liberal studies degree, then I'd choose the other degree for marketability purposes. The BSAST degree only require 12 UL credits. The current trends and application course and a transferred in project management course takes care of 6 of those. Sophia Learning offers an ACE-approved project management course. You also have an UL CIS course leaving you with one or two UL TECEPs or DSSTs (Networking Technology and Management Information Systems) to take. There is a limit of six 100-level credits.

I would like to see the evals for all three if you don't mind.

I see they did waive the credit hour fractions on the math and science degree eval. Must be because that is my declared major.

I'm also not too concerned with marketability right now. I currently have a pretty nice mid-level IT job. I was just told by a higher up in the company that a bachelors, any bachelors, lets you check the degree box for higher level job applications. For career progress I will have a greater chance of movement with some valuable higher end IT certifications (VMware, CISSP, CEH, etc.) After I finish a degree that is my next step.
