FYI, quigongene just pointed out in another thread that the free TEEX Cybersecurity courses are no longer ACE approved as of this month.
It was new information to me (or at least info I had forgotten), so I thought I'd start a new thread to draw more attention to it.

Did the wiki get updated? I'd do it but I can't access Wikia at work.

All courses have an expiration date. Courses expire all of the time. Places like TEEX or ALEKS that have no financial incentive to continue to renew won't.
None of the ACPE providers are closing up shop, and most of them have a vested interest in renewing their ACE recs. The ACE ecosystem is larger than it's ever been.

I know.
ACPE going away won't effect the Big 3, ACE credit will still be available, and all of the big players will renew their courses outside of the ACPE project (most of them are already available separate from the ACPE).

well that's a relief. The only course I'm hoping transfers over is Saylor Physics II course...I guess new credits are popping up all the time, look at Shmoop, Shmoop is terrible and very hard, but $87 for near unlimited credits a month is amazing, and there is the conflict course from Sophia. Not to mention all the cheap Graduate level courses I'm seeing popping up, so you're right!

There are more free and cheap courses than there ever have been. More and more courses, more and more providers. The fact that one or two goes away occasionally is more than made up for with new things that come in droves. I think it's easier & cheaper now than it's ever been (except the TESU Business degree - but even then, tons more options for concentrations available). Just in general for more and more degrees.
