Switch from TESC BSBA MGMT to BSBA CIS

I am sure that I want a bus admin degree and am currently working towards the gen mgmt option. At this point I don't have any of the "Area of Study" credits. I've been looking at the TESC BSBA CIS degree and think it might be a better fit for me and my career. I'm an IT Project Manager managing software projects. I think a BSBA CIS is the best mix of business and tech.

I'm wondering if anyone could give some guidance on options available to test out of the Area of Study credits or ways to complete them quickly. I want to have them knocked out in the next 8-9 months.

That person's plan was mostly hypothetical. You can earn 2 UL CIS credits from TEEX. I'm not sure if TESC will accept any LL credits toward the area of specialization. If they do, you can earn 2 more CIS credits through TEEX. From what I've heard, CAP courses can't be used for the CIS specialization. Of course, that thread you linked to mentions the MIS DSST and the Networking Technologies TECEP. Those will work. Javaonline.org offers cheap, NCCRS-approved courses in java programming. You might want to ask TESC if they will grant UL credit for the higher-level courses.

If you don't mind paying for courses, the TESC CS courses are good. I took computer architecture and the course was challenging and covered the typical computer architecture concepts fully. The real courses will also look good on your transcript. It is not easy though so make sure you have time to dedicate to the homework. You want to get 100% on the homework.
