Sweden: Prime Minister for a day...
#1
Well, literally a few hours!  It seems the budget her team brought to the table wasn't as good as the other!

I wouldn't really know why they would want to quit, wouldn't there be some "middle ground" for other areas when you're on top?

It makes sense given that Sweden has a parliamentary form of government. The Prime Minister comes into power through the support of a coalition of political parties; if the coalition breaks up, which happened in this case, it no longer has the power to sustain the prime minister or appoint new ones.

It's so possible that a new coalition could form and she could get appointed again.

If you follow the Israel elections earlier this year, it was all about the coalitions. If you didn't, I think you would enjoy reading up on it.

Imagine what it must be like to live in a country where politicians actually care.

I'm not certain where you got the impression they care more than ours do?  It's just a different system, but I'm sure there are good and bad politicians in all countries.  Or most of them anyway.
