Sweden: Prime Minister for a day... - bjcheung77 - 11-25-2021
Well, literally a few hours! It seems the budget her team brought to the table wasn't as good as the other!
I wouldn't really know why they would want to quit, wouldn't there be some "middle ground" for other areas when you're on top?

The Prime Minister comes into power through the support of a coalition of political parties; if the coalition breaks up, which happened in this case, it no longer has the power to sustain the prime minister or appoint new ones.

It's so possible that a new coalition could form and she could get appointed again.
If you follow the Israel elections earlier this year, it was all about the coalitions. If you didn't, I think you would enjoy reading up on it.

Imagine what it must be like to live in a country where politicians actually care.

I'm not certain where you got the impression they care more than ours do? It's just a different system, but I'm sure there are good and bad politicians in all countries. Or most of them anyway.
