I’m considering the BA in Accounting through UMPI YourPace. I’ve already done some courses through Sophia. I’m trying to decide if I should do some accounting courses through study.com or just enroll at UMPI. If anyone out there has done both, how did they compare in terms of difficulty, workload, exams, etc? Is Study similar to Sophia? Or is it just as well to start at UMPI? Thanks!

There's a bit of a trade-off. SDC courses can be more difficult than UMPI ones. However, taking 2 or 3 SDC courses can help bring the remaining classes down to a number that can be completed more quickly. That is, a little difficulty now could save you from having to take an extra UMPI term.
In progress:
TESU - BA Computer Science; BSBA CIS; ASNSM Math & CS; ASBA
Completed:
Pierpont - AAS BOG
Sophia (so many), The Institutes (old), Study.com (5 courses)
ASU: Human Origins, Astronomy, Intro Health & Wellness, Western Civilization, Computer Appls & Info Technology, Intro Programming
Strayer: CIS175, CIS111, WRK100, MAT210

@coffee947, Everyone does things differently, I suggest to max your Sophia.org and Study.com courses before you go the UMPI route... BTW, Welcome to the board, you may want to fill in the template and last post addendum here, it'll give us a greater overview of your courses you've taken and also your budget, commitments, study habits, etc:

I would max out Sophia and SDC courses based on the overall relatively low cost per credit hour. That said, SDC courses are more difficult than UMPI courses in my experience. This is because SDC courses require quizzes, a proctored exam and some type of project, with Accounting courses think of something like putting together a cash flows worksheet or the operating budget for a company. That said I only took Managerial Accounting through SDC as that's all my degree required.
